Abstract

Waterfront area of Buyan Lake is an area located at the lakeside and is a natural tourist attraction which developed attractively. The Buyan Lake is located at Pancasari Village and situated in the area of conservation forest which has a diversity of flora and fauna so that has potential as natural tourist destination. The development of waterfront in this ar-ea provides the facility for natural recreation particulary watersport and outbound which put forward the lake’s view as the path for development and setup orientation which paying attention to the surrounding environment as a form of na-ture preservation. The waterfront region aims to create commercial area which can improve the economic value of lo-cal community and able to accommodate various activities and requirements for nature recreation. The theme being used in designing ang developing the waterfront area at the Buyan Lake is ”Beauty With Nature” so that natural ele-ments dominate the designing of area and also the building appearance. The applicated of natural element is existed in the usage of building material which is made of wood and bamboos.
